DMKenyon

D. M. Kenyon is the father of a son and a daughter and two step-daughters.  A trial attorney by training, Kenyon has spent more than thirty years studying and practicing Buddhism and is affiliated with Kagyu Dröden Kunchab in San Francisco, California.  He has organized martial arts dojos and Buddhist congregations and was a co-founder of the St. Louis Buddhist Council.  He has also trained extensively in Aikido, Tai Chi andKendounder some of the world’s greatest masters.  Mr. Kenyon is currently an entrepreneur in St. Louis, Missouri specializing in green-tech start-ups.

Kenyon wrote The Lotus Blossom for his daughters after he observed the difficulty that his wife and other professional women had in managing confrontation and competition in the business environment.  Concerned that women do not always have access to the same training opportunities as men and that the injustice of gender double standards persist in our culture, he is committed to raising the issue of consciousness training not just for women, but for everyone, as a way to cultivate compassion and fairness in the face of the dehumanizing effects of the Information Age.
